BROAD COLLECTIVE

It was a great party at Comix last night - lots of new faces and many familiar ones.  It was inspiring to look around the room and see people deep in conversation, talking and listening to one another with equal intensity.  Thanks to those of you who could not make it but invited friends anyway - we appreciate the support and your fellow broads do too.  Look for an announcement about our Fall party coming soon.  In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your summer and the freedom and inspiration that comes with it!

Ladies, practice your elevator pitches, rev your blackberries and tell your smart, talented friends - the next Broad Collective Cocktail Party will be at Comix on Monday July 28th, 5-9pm.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the party at Comix - it was a really fun and inspiring night.  There were about 50 incredible women there, from jewelry designers to photographers, directors, holistic health practitioners, writers and more.  I had the pleasure of connecting two women who are both into writing for the female young adult audience, introducing comedy people to one another and learning about fertility issues from a real expert.  What were your conversations like?  Who did you meet?  Respond to this post - we'd love to know how you connected! 

Get out your blackberries, journals or wall calendars and pencil in the next Broad Collective event!  We'll be sipping cocktails in the swanky lounge at Comix once again, toasting the coming of Spring and the simple joys of warm weather, great conversation and the company of other fabulous artist-entrepreneurs.

The last party was full of new faces, and you are encouraged to invite like-minded friends to our Spring event.   Interesting things happen at Broad Collective cocktail parties:  entrepreneurial dreams become a little more concrete when they're shared with fellow broads.  Enthusiasm and encouragement from peers helps to sweeten our paths.  Connections get made that fill the gaps in our expertise and help to launch new ventures.  Clients are found.  Friends are made.  People laugh.  Sounds fun, right?

A heartfelt thank you to the Broad Collective community for making our first PERSEVERANCE WORKSHOP a tremendous success.  At the peaceful oasis that is In Good Company, our discussions about Inner and Outer Games, Gratitude and Eating Frogs were as inspiring to the Broad Collective board as we hope they were to the 25 incredible women in attendance.  It was great to see new faces and old friends alike, and we look forward to many more practical, inspirational events in the coming year(s)!
